Job Description

Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors professionally, both in person and via phone Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying demographic and insurance information, collecting copayments or balances due, and scheduling follow-up appointments Schedule patient appointments efficiently in alignment with doctor availability Collect payments for dental services and balance daily cash and receipt records Prepare daily deposits and required financial reports Verify insurance coverage and communicate anticipated benefits and patient financial responsibility prior to appointments Ensure all required patient forms are completed, scanned, and attached to electronic records prior to treatment Assist in the presentation of treatment plans by preparing estimates, reviewing insurance benefits, and explaining financial responsibilities to patients Sort, process, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and practice information at all times Assist with social media outreach Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a dental office required Experience with Open Dental required Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills Knowledge of dental office procedures, including patient intake, scheduling, insurance verification, and records management Proficiency in data entry and general computer applications Knowledge of regulations and confidentiality requirements (e.g., HIPAA)
Schedule Full-Time:
Monday - Friday 7:45 AM - 5:30 PM, depending on patient flow. No weekends or holidays.
