Job Description

9An Office Trucking Administrator (or Transport Admin) acts as the central hub for logistics operations, ensuring compliance, safety, and efficiency. Key responsibilities include maintaining driver logs (ELD/DOT), processing Bills of Lading (BOL) and invoices, managing driver communication, and organizing vehicle maintenance records.
Core Responsibilities Compliance & Safety:
Maintain driver qualification files, DOT inspection reports, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Logistics Administration:
Process, scan, and file shipping documents, BOLs, and Proof of Delivery (POD).
Driver & Load Support:
Support drivers with documentation, track shipments, and assist with dispatch/route planning.
Operations & Data Entry:
Maintain databases (insurance, mileage, fuel, billing) and enter data into transportation management systems.
Administrative Tasks:
Manage office supplies, answer phones, and support HR tasks like onboarding and employee time-off requests.
Maintenance Coordination:
Track preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for trucks/trailers and schedule shop appointments.
Key Qualifications Experience:
1-2 years in transportation, logistics, or administration.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and industry software (e.g., TMS, QuickBooks, Samsara/ELDs).
Industry Knowledge:
Basic understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and safety standards.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment, and proactive communication. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] Typical Requirements High school diploma or GED; Associate's/Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience with DOT and safety compliance is often heavily favored.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
