Job Summary The Office Manager is responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures to ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency. The Office Manager is to provide support to the pastor, coordinate task with other staff members, church committee members and leaders. The Office Manager is to present a positive, professional, and welcoming demeanor to those who contact the church by phone, technological communication, and in person. Minimum Qualifications- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Proficiency with document storage systems such as Dropbox and Google docs.
- Prior administrative experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual is a plus but not required.
- Maintains a clean background check.
- Lifting light weight boxes and a maximum of twenty-five pounds. Job Requirements
- Ensures front desk coverage and completion of all office tasks and responsibilities.
- Abides by and enforces the Safe Gatherings policies of the United Methodist Church and oversees and maintains updated information regarding background checks for volunteers and staff.
- Maintains the church calendar to include the usage of the buildings.
- Maintains the congregational database.
- Orders and purchases supplies, curriculum, and other materials as needed.
- Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office procedures.
- Assist the bookkeeper with check requests, receipts, and disbursements.
- Work collaboratively as a member of the staff team.
- Monitor and maintain adherence to yearly administrative budgets.
- Participate in training and professional growth opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Pay:
