Southlake, TX Schedule:
Approximately 30 hours per week initially, transitioning to full-time (40 hours/week) by year-end Job Summary Air Intercontinental is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of multiple privately held companies. This position is ideal for a recent accounting graduate or graduating senior who has some previous accounting, bookkeeping, QuickBooks, or internship experience and is looking to build a career in a hands-on business environment. The Junior Accountant will work directly with company leadership and alongside established outside accountants and CPAs. The role will initially focus on helping establish, organize, and maintain accurate accounting records in QuickBooks across several business entities, with responsibilities expanding as the individual becomes familiar with the companies and their operations. Responsibilities Assist with the setup, organization, and ongoing maintenance of multiple company accounts in QuickBooks Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Review, categorize, and record business transactions and expenses Prepare and record journal entries as appropriate Assist with reconciling and cleaning up historical accounting records Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and research discrepancies Track payments, expenses, and intercompany transactions across multiple entities Assist with accounts payable and other routine bookkeeping functions Support month-end reconciliation and reporting activities Prepare basic financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Gather and organize financial documentation for outside accountants and CPAs Help establish efficient accounting and recordkeeping processes for newer business entities Assist company leadership and outside accounting professionals with additional accounting and financial projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or graduating senior currently completing an Accounting degree Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or relevant internship experience preferred Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including debits and credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to manage responsibilities across multiple companies and business entities Ability to work independently while collaborating with company leadership and outside accounting professionals High level of discretion when handling confidential financial information Position Growth The position is expected to begin at approximately 30 hours per week and transition to a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role by the end of the year , with anticipated eligibility for company benefits beginning in early 2027 . This is an opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain meaningful experience across multiple privately held businesses while working directly with company leadership and experienced accounting professionals.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
