Job Description

All About Blinds has been in Cedar City for 16 years. Contractors, realtors, and homeowners call us because we show up on time and do the work right — and that reputation did not come from a job description. It came from the people who answered the phone, scheduled the jobs, and made sure nothing fell through. Chip and Shane are building a team that runs the business without them in every detail. This office role is the center of that. If you want to be part of something that's clearly moving — and you're someone who runs toward complexity rather than away from it — keep reading. What the Work Actually Looks Like You'll answer the phone, and you'll need to answer it like you're glad someone called — because the customer on the other end is often making a significant purchase and they're trusting us with it. Scheduling consultations and installs means knowing the rhythm of the business well enough to put jobs in the right order. You'll learn the products — shades, blinds, shutters, motorized systems — because customers ask questions and need real answers, not transfers. The back office is yours, too. Customer cards, COGS tracking, balance collection, remakes and parts orders, vendor subscriptions, bills, QuickBooks reconciliation with Soletech, contractor quotes from blueprints, and social media. Not each of those on rotation — all of it, on any given day. This role is wide. There is no single lane. People who need clear direction for every task struggle here; people who see what needs doing and handle it don't. If that second description fits you, the rest of this is worth reading. Who Belongs Here We Take Initiative The installer is already one step ahead on cleanup. Malachi comes back from a job with a new lead nobody sent him to get. Nobody has to remind anyone. It's just done. This office role works the same way. If a customer needs a callback, you don't wait to be asked. If a subscription is renewing next week and nobody's checked it, you check it. We Are Others-Oriented Customers remember their experience here because the person they talked to actually paid attention to them — found out about their project, their house, what they were trying to do. That starts on the phone. That's you. We Have Each Other's Back We treat customers like neighbors and teammates like family. When a product shows up damaged, you don't call the customer to complain about it — you call the manufacturer, work the problem, and show up ready. The customer never knows there was an issue. We Act With Honor and Humility You're the same person whether someone's watching or not. What you say matches what you do. You bring solutions, not excuses. When someone has a better idea, you take it. What You Need Reliable transportation to our Cedar City location Comfortable with computers, scheduling software, and basic bookkeeping Strong phone presence — you enjoy talking to people, and it shows Organized enough to track multiple open jobs at once Willing to learn product knowledge and get comfortable quoting
You Do NOT Need:
No window covering or interior design experience required — we teach you the products No accounting degree required — basic QuickBooks reconciliation is learnable No prior experience with Soletech or our specific software — we train on our systems Pay and Path $18-$20/hr to start, depending on experience. At 12 months, consistent performers move to $21-$23/hr — not automatically, but tied to the business running more cleanly because of their work. Why All About Blinds Sixteen years of reputation in this valley — contractors, realtors, and designers refer us because we don't embarrass them The values in this posting are the same ones you'd observe on your first day — ask anyone who works here Clear path into a growing operation — the 2028 vision is eight people strong and running without the owners in every detail of the day-to-day Chip and Shane are present and accessible — you won't be handed off to a manager you never see Showing initiative here gets noticed. Not in a performance-review-comment way — in a pay-and-responsibility way. The Hiring Process Apply — takes five minutes. If the application looks right, we'll schedule a 15-minute phone call. We'll send you a few written questions. Reply by email — no forms, no portals. Face-to-face interview at our location — about 45 minutes.
Final step:
a working session where you see the actual systems, and we see how you think. If it's a fit — let's talk about a start date.
Compensation:
$18 - $23 hourly
Responsibilities:
Own every inbound customer communication — phones, follow-ups, and scheduling. Manage the job lifecycle from sale to close: customer cards, COGS transfers, balance collection, and remakes or parts orders when something needs correction.
Run the back-office:
bills, vendor subscriptions, QuickBooks reconciliation with Soletech, and contractor quote preparation from blueprints. Coordinate the install schedule so field crews run clean and customers know what's happening before they have to ask. Manage All About Blinds' social media presence (Facebook, Instagram) and respond to web referrals promptly. Participate in networking opportunities to grow the company.
Qualifications:
Required:
Reliable daily transportation to the Cedar City location. Comfortable with computers and basic software — QuickBooks, scheduling tools, Microsoft Office. Strong phone presence and genuine enjoyment of customer conversations. U.S. work authorization. Available full-time.
You do NOT need:
No window covering industry experience required — we teach the products. No accounting degree required. No prior experience with Soletech — we train on our systems. About Company All About Blinds has been Cedar City's most trusted window covering company for nearly 16 years. We work with homeowners, contractors, realtors, and interior designers who refer us without hesitation — because we show up on time, do the work right, and care how it turns out. We're a small team with a high standard, a genuine culture, and a growth plan that includes the people who help us get there. If you want to do work you're proud of and be part of a company that notices, this is where you belong.
