General Public•G Job Duties Blue Ridge Health District is seeking a strong supervisor and people leader who can provide structure, accountability, coaching, and operational support to a frontline administrative team. Technical knowledge of Office Services Specialists (OSS) systems and procedures is important and can be developed; the essential need is for a supervisor who can lead staff effectively, learn quickly, communicate clearly, and ensure consistent, high-quality support for clients, clinical teams, and district operations. About the Role Provides direct supervision and daily leadership for the OSS team, including setting expectations, assigning work, coaching staff, addressing performance concerns, supporting accountability, and helping create a more consistent and professional frontline service environment. Ensures reliable client access and front-office operations by overseeing registration, scheduling, client flow, phone coverage, records support, data entry, and other administrative functions that allow clinical and public health services to operate effectively. Serves as a key operational link between OSS staff, clinical teams, fiscal/admin staff, and district leadership, helping resolve workflow issues, clarify procedures, improve communication, and ensure that administrative processes support program needs. Promotes accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance by ensuring staff understand and follow applicable policies, procedures, documentation standards, privacy expectations, and customer service practices. Leads process improvement and team stabilization efforts by identifying recurring barriers, strengthening workflows, supporting onboarding and training, and building a team culture grounded in accountability, responsiveness, and service.
