Job Description

Reports to:
Center Director Schedule:
Full Time (32-40 hours/week)
Flexible Schedule Summary:
To provide a loving, nurturing, safe, stimulating, Christian environment that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of each child.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily classroom operations and staff during assigned shifts Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and center policies Support teachers and assistants with classroom management and curriculum implementation Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children Communicate professionally with families and staff Assist with scheduling, staff coverage, and daily center needs Handle incidents and emergencies according to center procedures
Qualifications:
✔ High school diploma or equivalent (ECE coursework preferred) ✔ Experience in licensed childcare or early learning settings ✔ Leadership or supervisory experience preferred ✔ Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) ✔ Strong communication and organizational skills (Bilingual preferred) ✔ Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Key Competencies To execute this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of their essential duties satisfactorily. Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times Effective written and verbal communication with families, coworkers, and administration. Understanding of local, state, and federal childcare regulations (ex.
WAC 110-330
). Ability to work with children with diverse backgrounds and levels of ability toward accomplishing their developmental and educational goals Efficiently follow cleaning checklist to ensure spaces are in clean standing order. Ability to think quickly and clearly and remain calm and composed during stressful times. Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential client information. Presents themself in a professional manner, adhering to the Dress Code Physical Demands Position requires regular walking, standing, kneeling, and sitting on floor. Ability to frequently lift, carry and hold children and infants. Lifting objects may be required (typically, weight does not exceed 25 lbs., may on occasion be up to 50 lbs.) Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the ability to hear co-workers when working on team projects or at meetings, the ability to hear young children in the classroom and/or on playground. (6) an Office Supervisor must: Be at least 18 years old Have a high school diploma or equivalent Have, working towards, or planning on getting ECE state certificate or equivalent 2 years of childcare or management experience Passed background check with fingerprints. Infant Child and Adult CPR and first aid Food handler's permit 30-hour Basic Stars and additional 10-hours per year. Trainings through DCYF training
