Position/Job Title Family Law Legal Assistant / Receptionist Company Luminosity Law Location Mountlake Terrace, WA Employment Type Full-Time Compensation $21-$25/hour Benefits- Paid time off (PTO) - 3 weeks (15 days)

- Paid 30-minute lunch break Company Profile Luminosity Law was founded in 2006 (as Baugher Law Firm), providing legal services exclusively in domestic relations and family law.
- Answer and manage inbound phone calls and direct calls to the appropriate team member
- Greet clients and visitors and provide professional, courteous, and compassionate service
- Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, experts, opposing counsel, and opposing counsel's staff
- Gather information and assist with new client intakes
- Schedule appointments and coordinate attorney calendars
- Coordinate document intake
- Respond to requests for information and data
- Perform general clerical duties, including scanning, photocopying, faxing, and mailing
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems in a near-paperless environment
- Save emails and other documents to case management software
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with various legal duties and projects, including drafting minor pleadings and e-filing pleadings
- Prepare hearing and trial notebooks
- Perform data entry
- Learn and utilize legal technology and case management systems
- Work closely with attorneys and support staff to maintain a high level of work quality while meeting deadlines
- Participate in team problem-solving
- Perform other duties and projects as needed based on the needs of the firm Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of office, administrative, or related experience
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer and technical skills, with the ability to quickly learn new software and troubleshoot problems that may arise
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks and deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Willingness to ask questions when necessary Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of legal office experience
- Experience in family law is highly valued, but not required
- Paralegal certificate is preferred, but not required
- Bachelor's or associate degree is preferred, but not required
- Experience with legal case management software and/or electronic filing systems
