Description:
To help maintain an efficient office with the goal of enhancing the educational program for students.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or
GED. 2. 2
years of business college or 4 years of demonstrated successful experience in general office work. 3. Proficient in operating office machines such as copiers, electronic typewriters, calculators, computers (word processing and data base programs), etc. 4. Must possess advanced secretarial skills such as grammar, spelling, punctuation, proofreading, etc. 5. Ability to type 45 wpm with accuracy. 6. Ability to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaskan environment. 7. Ability to carry out successfully the duties described below.
Duties:
1. Perform advanced clerical duties using own initiative. 2. Type correspondence and other material and proof final product. 3. Compose correspondence for supervisor's approval. 4. Establish and maintain files and records according to established procedures. 5. Make travel arrangements. 6. Become responsible and proficient in the completion of district forms such as PCN's, time sheets, TR's, requisitions, etc. 7. Assist at meetings and take/transcribe minutes, as required. 8. Prepare complex reports and statistical data. 9. Understand budgetary processes and cost coding procedures. 10. Complete assigned tasks with minimum of supervision. 11. Perform other duties as assigned.
