Alabama Power Company Job Summary Alabama Power is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented General Office Clerk III to provide advanced administrative and clerical support for daily office operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of the office by managing correspondence, maintaining records, coordinating meetings, supporting visitors, and performing a wide range of administrative functions. This position requires excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries while ensuring timely and
  • accurate distribution.
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain records, spreadsheets, databases, and other
  • business documentation.
  • Organize and maintain filing systems, both electronic and paper, including scanning,
  • photocopying, and document management.
  • Welcome and assist visitors, vendors, and guests while maintaining a professional and
  • customer-focused environment.
  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and route calls to the
  • appropriate departments.
  • Coordinate calendars, appointments, meetings, and events for management and staff.
  • Order, receive, and maintain office supplies while monitoring inventory levels.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and presentations as needed.
  • Maintain organized workspaces and ensure administrative records remain current and
  • accurate.
  • Support multiple departments by prioritizing administrative tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Assist with additional administrative and clerical duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of administrative, clerical, office support, or customer service experience.
  • Experience in data entry, office coordination, or administrative support.
