Summary With the aim to provide first call resolution, the Senior Scheduling Coordinator, New Patient is a member of the Patient Appointment Center responsible for scheduling new patients and new established patients resulting from incoming calls, emails, web requests and provider orders. As part of these processes, the position is responsible for gathering and entering accurate information including record information and utilizing scheduling algorithms to ensure that a patient is scheduled accurately and timely. The Senior Scheduling Coordinator, New Patient must cross cover all functions of Patient Access scheduling to develop a high level of understanding of multiple clinics outside of their assigned pod. The position must act as a mentor/ resource and provide training to colleagues within the department. This includes shadowing for new hires and onboarding of all new team members. Incumbents must adhere to or excel at expected productivity and accuracy targets established by management. The Senior Scheduling Coordinator, New Patient works with limited supervision with oversight focused on complex, new assignments. He/She will work autonomously within established procedures and practices which is where they will spend the majority of their time. Incumbents must document customer inquiries, issues, transactions, and other relevant information into department computer systems, and assume responsibility for triage of specific and complex inquires to appropriate resources. Exceptional quality scores are expected to be achieved on a regular basis.

Exceptional quality scores are expected to be achieved on a regular basis. Responsibilities- Gathering and entering accurate information including record information and utilizing scheduling algorithms to ensure that a patient is scheduled accurately and timely.

- HS Diploma/ GEDor equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) or more years' scheduling experience in a hospital, outpatient facility or physician office environment; with a total of at least three (3) years of scheduling and customer service experience required.
- Minimum of (2) years of Moffitt Patient Access scheduling experience required.
- Minimum of one (1) or more years' scheduling experience as a Moffitt Scheduling Coordinator, New Patient
- Broad understanding of medical terminology required.
- Strong and agile computer skills required Preferred Experience
- Extensive knowledge of Moffitt's Electronic Health Record and Scheduling Systems including Cerner, Soarian, Power Chart, Zingtree and Trace.
