Duties and Responsibilities Manage the scheduling of appointments using Dentrix software to ensure optimal workflow and patient satisfaction. Handle patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently. Conduct light treatment planning and provide administrative support in treatment coordination. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area. Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and confirm upcoming appointments. Document and update patient records in the dental practice management software with accuracy and confidentiality. Process patient payments and handle billing inquiries. Collaborate with dental staff to maintain schedule accuracy and address any adjustments or patient needs. Assist in training new staff members on front desk operations as required. Participate in team meetings and contribute to team goals aimed at improving patient care and office efficiency. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the practice. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a dental office front desk role, ideally with proficiency in Dentrix software. High school diploma or equivalent; further certification in office management or a related field is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing sensitive patient information discreetly and with empathy. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, able to manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a busy environment. Proven customer service skills, with an ability to engage positively with patients and team members. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to unforeseen circumstances. Knowledge of dental terminology and understanding of dental treatment procedures is advantageous. Basic understanding of billing practices and insurance-related procedures in a dental context. Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, email, and ability to learn new software quickly. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
