Administrative Specialist II
Town of Prescott Valley Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 Posted 12 days The Town of Prescott Valley invites you to apply for the position of Administrative Specialist II - Development Services.
Join the Town of Prescott Valley's Development Services Department as an Administrative Specialist II, where your organization, accuracy, and customer service skills will play a key role in supporting a growing community. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, takes ownership of their work, and values being a reliable resource for both internal teams and the public.
IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL
- Perform basic bookkeeping/accounting, prepare purchase orders and requisitions. Track and reconcile purchasing cards.
- Assist in annual department budget administration, preparation and tracking.
- Assist with the administration of Building Code Cases; including legal notice preparation, proofreading and processing.
- Coordinate and schedule staff meetings, conferences, training and travel.
- Assist in maintaining accurate employee records and files. Data entry, mail distribution, ordering supplies, filing and records management.
- Review department staff reports and materials for Town council, Board and/or Commission meetings for accuracy and enter materials into agenda management software as needed.
- Prepare and distribute legal notices, postings, agendas and packets for public hearings and special meetings.
- Utilize Town computer programs and applications for permitting, agenda management, records request, time sheets, personnel, financial and contract agreement tracking.
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree and a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative and fiscal experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent with six (6) years of progressively responsible administration and fiscal experience.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License and ability to pass a pre-employment background including driving record.
- Ability to type/key 60 words per minute.
- Working knowledge basic accounting procedures and policies; payroll and personnel administrative procedures and municipal methods, functions and services.
- Excellent interpersonal communications and customer service skills.
COMPENSATION
The Town's complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high-performance culture. The Town package includes a health, dental, and vision insurance plan, participation in the state retirement system, optional 457 deferred compensation with a town match up to 6%, vacation, holidays, and additional comprehensive benefits. The expected hiring range is $26.60-$27.93. The full hourly range is $26.60—$37.25.Closing Date:
