POSITION DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, serves as the secretary to the District Office, performing a wide variety of secretarial and clerical tasks. Performs a broad range of complex secretarial, administrative, and clerical support functions for the District Office. This position provides direct operational support to the District Office including communications and correspondence, confidential personnel and labor relations matters, and serves as a primary point of contact for staff, families, and the public. The District Office Secretary exercises sound judgment, maintains strict confidentiality, and contributes to the efficient and professional operation of the District Office.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Superintendent's Office and Executive Cabinet E 2. Compose, proofread, format, and distribute a wide variety of correspondence, memos, reports, and other documents, including highly sensitive and confidential communications related to personnel, complaints, and negotiations E 3. Process invoices for legal counsel services E 4. Screen and route telephone calls, emails, and in-person visitors; exercise independent judgment in responding to inquiries, resolving routine matters, or directing callers to appropriate staff E 5. Maintain an organized, up-to-date records management system for correspondence, reports, contracts, and other District Office files, both physical and electronic E 6. Serve as a backup recorder at Board of Education meetings E 7. Support compliance with Brown Act posting requirements, including physical and electronic posting of meeting notices and agendas E 8.
