We represent individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents and are committed to delivering exceptional results and client service. As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking motivated professionals who want to build a long-term career in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Case Manager Supervisor to join our Pre-Litigation Department and help lead and develop our team of Assistant Case Managers. Position Overview The Assistant Case Manager Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a designated team of Assistant Case Managers (ACMs) within our Pre-Litigation Department. This position is part of a larger team of ACM Supervisors, with each supervisor responsible for the performance, productivity, training, and development of their assigned ACM team. The ACM Supervisor will monitor day-to-day case activity, conduct regular file and productivity audits, provide coaching and training, and ensure their team consistently follows established case management procedures and performance expectations. This position also works closely with Case Managers to obtain feedback on ACM performance, identify areas requiring additional support, and address issues that may be affecting case progression. The ideal candidate has extensive personal injury case management experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to identify problems within individual files as well as recurring performance or workflow issues across their team. Responsibilities Directly supervise and support an assigned team of Assistant Case Managers Work collaboratively with other ACM Supervisors to maintain consistent procedures, expectations, and performance standards across all ACM teams Train and onboard new ACMs on CasePeer, departmental procedures, task management, documentation standards, and workflows Monitor the day-to-day performance, productivity, and case activity of assigned ACMs Conduct regular audits of ACM caseloads to ensure files are appropriately balanced and actively worked Review tasks and case activity to ensure deadlines, follow-ups, and required work are completed timely Monitor medical record and billing requests to ensure requests are submitted timely, accurately, and properly followed up on Review demand packets for completeness and accuracy before cases move forward Monitor pending demand files to ensure cases are actively progressing and older files are appropriately prioritized Review pending settlement files to ensure required follow-up is being completed Monitor CHP, TCR, and other required report requests to ensure they are submitted and followed up on timely Conduct daily productivity reviews to ensure ACMs are completing appropriate tasks, case notes, medical record requests, and other required case activity Audit case costs to ensure expenses are properly entered and categorized within the case management system Review incoming case-related correspondence to ensure ACMs are properly reviewing, labeling, and handling documents Conduct performance reviews for assigned team members Hold regular team and individual meetings to discuss performance, workflow, case issues, expectations, and employee development Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and training to assigned ACMs Communicate regularly with Case Managers to obtain feedback regarding ACM performance and identify areas requiring additional support Address performance concerns directly with ACMs and establish clear expectations for improvement Identify recurring issues or deficiencies within ACM files and provide corrective training or guidance Review completed tasks and case activity to ensure appropriate follow-up has occurred Identify cases where medical records, bills, liens, reports, or other required documentation have not been requested or followed up on timely Escalate significant performance, workflow, or case management concerns to management when appropriate Assist with departmental process improvements and other supervisory responsibilities as needed Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience working in a personal injury law firm Strong experience with personal injury pre-litigation case management Prior experience as an Assistant Case Manager, Case Manager, Lead, Supervisor, or similar personal injury role Strong understanding of the personal injury case lifecycle from intake through demand and settlement Experience reviewing medical records, billing records, liens, insurance documentation, and demand-related materials Ability to audit case files and identify missing documentation, delayed follow-ups, and workflow deficiencies Experience managing or supporting a high-volume personal injury caseload Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills Ability to provide constructive feedback and hold employees accountable for performance expectations Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities Ability to analyze productivity and identify individual or team-level performance issues Ability to work collaboratively with other supervisors, Case Managers, and management Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a personal injury law firm Experience directly supervising Assistant Case Managers Experience training and onboarding personal injury support staff Experience conducting case audits and employee performance reviews Experience with CasePeer Knowledge of medical records and billing requests, health insurance, liens, CHP/TCR reports, demand preparation, and settlement procedures Experience identifying and correcting workflow or performance issues within a personal injury team Bilingual English/Spanish skills Compensation Compensation will be based on personal injury experience, supervisory experience, case management knowledge, and ability to effectively lead and develop a high-performing ACM team.
