  • $25 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Working with individuals with disabilities Assisting with ADLs Driver's License Psychology Performing background checks Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, upbeat, and reliable Personal Support Attendant (PSA) to support an adult individual in Chico with community integration, social development, and daily living skills.
This role is centered around helping the individual build meaningful friendships, access their community, and participate in activities they enjoy. The ideal candidate is patient, engaging, and enjoys encouraging others to grow socially and independently. About the Role This position focuses heavily on community engagement and relationship-building, helping the individual participate in social, recreational, and creative activities while providing guidance, encouragement, and support. You will play a key role in helping the individual build and maintain friendships, explore community opportunities, stay active, and develop independence.
Key Responsibilities Community Integration & Social Support:
  • Support participation in community outings (classes, events, recreational activities)
  • Encourage and facilitate friendships and social interaction
  • Help plan and attend social activities
  • Provide gentle coaching with conversation skills
Daily Living Support:
  • Assist with daily routines as needed
  • Provide structure and encouragement
  • Promote independence
  • Helping the client navigate safely outside the home
Emotional & Behavioral Support:
  • Offer encouragement and reassurance
  • Recognize when support is needed
  • Build trust using patience and humor
Safety & Supervision:
  • Maintain safety awareness in the community
  • Follow care guidelines and communicate with family as needed Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is positive, patient, engaging, reliable, and creative. Someone who enjoys participating in activities such as art, fitness, and community outings. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred)
  • Background in education, psychology, or related field
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass background check Schedule & Pay
  • Flexible scheduling (part-time or full-time)
  • Evenings and occasional weekend opportunities available
