Job Description

Committed to Our Community in the Heart of the Redwoods. Removing Barriers to Healthcare Access DNCHC Del Norte Community Health CenterThe Administrative Assistant I (AAI) Provides administrative and clerical support to a site or department. Focuses on routine tasks and baseline operational support. All new hires will begin at the base wage of this position. Hmong and Spanish speakers who successfully pass a language exam will receive a minimum additional .75 hourly differential to their wage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedules and organizes meetings and events Maintains paper and digital filing systems Answers phones and routes messages Manages office supplies and equipment Maintains shared spaces (copy rooms, breakrooms, etc.) Supports data entry, form preparation, and basic internal communication Performs specialized duties, projects and other duties as identified and assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPECTATIONS
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish constructive professional working relationships among a diverse workforce. Ability to work as a member of a team and independently as needed. Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects with different deadlines. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Strong computer skills with specific aptitude in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Ability to effectively represent ODCHC's interests publicly and maintain effective working relationships among co-workers, public, private, and professional groups. Adheres to ODCHC's attendance policy Adheres to ODCHC's policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED. One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.
SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT
The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Administrative Director when health center based, and a designated Department Director when located within a specific department or administrative facility.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is largely an office-based position. The physical requirements described are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential duties of the position. Reasonable accommodation will be made to allow otherwise qualified candidates to perform these functions. Ability to communicate via telephone, video, and/or in-person. Ability to read documents, computer screens, forms. Ability to remain stationary for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 25 pounds. Ability to use keyboard and view computer screens for extended periods. Ability to travel locally and long-distance as needed. Ability to move around offices and clinics as needed.
