Job Description

Job Summary A mission-driven nonprofit charitable organization in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Program and Event Planning professional for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an organized, tech-savvy event and program support professional with experience coordinating virtual meetings, webinars, hybrid events, conferences, galas, and stakeholder-facing programs. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful programs in a collaborative nonprofit environment with supportive leadership, strong teamwork, and cross-functional partnership. The role is well suited for someone who enjoys managing details, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and helping deliver polished events that support an important community-focused mission. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and facilitate virtual meetings, webinars, hybrid events, and related program activities.
  • Support the planning and execution of in-person conferences, galas, campus programs, and stakeholder events.
  • Assist with budget development, forecasting, tracking, and event-related administrative reporting.
  • Coordinate speakers, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, contracts, and external partners to ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Use event management platforms, CRM systems, virtual meeting tools, email tools, and collaboration software to support registration, communication, logistics, and follow-up.
  • Partner cross-functionally with departments across the organization to align timelines, resources, materials, and event execution needs. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay rate: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour.
  • Job type: Temp-to-hire.
  • Location:
    El Segundo, CA.
  • Work arrangement: Full-time on-site during the contract period. If transitioned to a regular full-time position, the role is expected to be three days per week in office and two days remote.
Travel:
Moderate travel required, primarily between June and November, averaging approximately one week per month during that period.
