Hours for this role are 5:30 am - 10:30 am, Monday through Friday. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide attentive childcare while also helping manage the day-to-day operations of a well-run home. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and passionate about creating a positive, structured, and nurturing environment for four children, while also ensuring the household runs smoothly. This is a trusted, long-term role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Childcare Provide attentive, hands-on care for children of various ages Manage daily routines including school/daycare drop-offs and pick-ups Assist with dressing, hygiene, homework, and daily structure Engage children in educational activities, play, and developmental exercises Prepare nutritious meals and snacks based on dietary needs Support children's overall well-being, safety, and emotional development Follow all safety protocols, including First Aid procedures when necessary Household Management Prepare meals for up to six people, including meal planning and kitchen upkeep Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, organizing common areas) Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning home environment Run errands (grocery shopping, banking, mailing packages, car maintenance, etc.) Manage and restock household inventory and supplies Care for family dog (feeding, walking, bathing, playtime) Maintain and update the household calendar, schedules, and appointments Assist with home organization projects and occasional travel planning Home Office & Administrative Support Maintain organization and cleanliness of the home office Create and manage filing systems (digital and physical) Handle sensitive documents with confidentiality (scanning, shredding, filing) Provide occasional support with event or party planning QualificationsExperience 5+ years of experience in a nanny, household assistant, or similar role Education High school diploma or equivalent required Some college coursework preferred Background or interest in fine arts is a plus Requirements Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance Current First Aid and CPR certification Current COVID-19 and Tdap (whooping cough) vaccinations Strong experience caring for infants, toddlers, and/or school-aged children Experience preparing healthy meals and following food safety standards Skills Proven experience in nannying or childcare roles, especially with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities First aid certification to respond confidently in emergencies Ability to cook nutritious meals and snacks suitable for young children Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable Strong organizational skills to manage daily routines efficiently Compassionate caregiving attitude combined with patience and positive communication skills This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a family's daily life—supporting both the children's growth and the smooth operation of the home.
