Goleta, CA Starting Pay:
$19.00/hour (DOE)
Schedule:
32-40 hours per week
Position Type:
Temporary Position with Potential for Permanent Employment We are seeking a reliable, organized, and professional bilingual (English/Spanish) Administrative Staff member to assist with the daily operations of a residential property management office. This position is initially temporary; however, exceptional performance may lead to permanent employment. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable interacting with residents, applicants, vendors, and management.
Job Responsibilities:
Answering phones and responding to emails Assisting prospective residents with rental inquiries Providing excellent customer service to current and future residents Translating and communicating with Spanish-speaking residents and applicants Scheduling appointments and property tours Processing rental applications and supporting documentation Filing and maintaining tenant records Preparing notices, letters, and resident correspondence Assisting with move-in and move-out procedures Collecting and processing rent payments Monitoring and updating resident accounts Coordinating maintenance requests and work orders Communicating with vendors and service providers Data entry and general office administration Maintaining office organization and cleanliness Assisting management with special projects and administrative tasks Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and reports Supporting lease renewals, roommate changes, and application reviews Assisting with resident compliance and policy enforcement documentation
Qualifications:
Fluent in both English and Spanish (required) Previous administrative, office, customer service, leasing, or property management experience preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Professional demeanor and appearance Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to handle confidential information Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and general computer applications Ability to multitask and work independently Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Compensation & Opportunities:
Starting pay begins at $19.00 per hour Higher starting pay may be considered based on qualifications and experience Performance and wage review after 90 days Opportunity for pay increases based on performance Potential for permanent employment after the temporary period Potential employee housing/rent discount after 90 days for qualified employees (subject to availability and management approval) Valuable experience in property management, leasing, and real estate operations
