Full Job Description Position Purpose :
Provides overall management of a Residential Program. Duties and Responsibilities Organize and serve as facilitator for Interdisciplinary Professional Team meetings Oversee screening and selection of residents Provide weekly in-home consultation sufficient to maintain awareness of residents' status Review resident incident reports and distribute to appropriate persons Hire and train Home Administrator Supervise consultants Provide and/or schedule required in-service training for staff Oversee hiring of direct service staff Develop and implement a direct service staff training system Maintain an ongoing program evaluation system consistent with regulations Develop and maintain relationships with parents, caseworkers, and significant others Design and monitor resident active treatment programs and prepare reports Oversee and implement Resident activity schedule. Monitor home expenditures Manage resident funds Other duties assigned by the Regional Director •
Mandated Abuse Reporter Education and Work Experience:
Must meet Community Care Licensing administrator requirements, a Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral science preferred, five years experience with developmental disabilities, one in program administration. Ability to design and implement behavior intervention and active treatment programs. Knowledge of the principles of management, supervision and training; knowledge of the principles and techniques of operation of human service agencies; ability to formulate policies and procedures for administration of social services; ability to select, supervise and evaluate the performance of home staff. Must have ability to competently use various computer software programs. Effective writing skills and ability to generate reports in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to deal effectively with staff, clients and outside community. Awareness of principles of normalization and development. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Residential experience is required
Driving and License Requirements :
Must have own car and provide on-going proof of auto Liability insurance as mandated by the State of California.
Criminal Record Clearance :
Must obtain and maintain a Department of Justice/FBI fingerprint clearance.
Additional Requirements :
Must obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR Certification. Must be able to pass a post-job offer job-related physical exam, to include a negative TB test. Certain locations require the ability to pass a drug screening prior to hire; and randomly thereafter. CPR and First Aid prior to working with clients and maintained. Completion of CCL Administrator Certification class and recertification every two years to include 40 classroom hours of continuing education. Completion of CPI or ProAct Behavior Training and maintained. Completion of HIV and TB training within 60 days of employment and renewed every two years.
