Community Health Initiative (CHI) , a leading Napa and Solano County non-profit dedicated to expanding access to healthcare through enrollment assistance, patient education, and advocacy, is seeking a bilingual office assistant for our Napa Office. College students are encouraged to apply!

Founded in 2005, CHI has a long and successful history of empowering Napa County residents and in Solano County to navigate the healthcare system, ensuring everyone has the opportunity for a healthy life. We are seeking a part-time, bi-lingual, Office Assistant to join our team.
Job Description:
Under general direction of the Senior Management, provides administrative, clerical and special project support to the Executive Director, Finance and Operations Director, Health Services Manager, and staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following duties are typical of those performed by most employees in this classification; however, employees may perform other related duties. Greet clients and visitors. Answer phone calls Provide support to staff Monitor and manage inventory of office supplies; order and distribute office supplies Coordinate and schedule appointments and meetings Ensure that the organization's office appears professional and welcoming at all times. Assist with special projects Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing and copying Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system Perform data entry Other duties as assigned
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Education:
High School Diploma Experience:
One year of experience in a similar position.
License:
Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
Language Requirement:
Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal) required.
Additional Requirements:
Dependable automobile and auto insurance.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and web-based communications. Ability to learn database software. Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail Proficient computer skills and ability to operate general office equipment Friendly and professional behavior. Ability to be flexible and take on new tasks as needed. Good sense of humor, diplomacy skills, people skills and team player.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND FUNCTIONAL FACTORS
Incumbents will perform work either inside or outside of buildings; work alone or closely with others; work irregular hours; must be able to drive a car; have use of fingers and both hands; perform work while moving about; see close up or far away; hear well; and be able to communicate with others. This class includes light physical effort which may include frequent lifting of up to ten pounds and occasional lifting of up to twenty-five pounds. Some bending, stooping, and/or squatting may be required. Considerable moving about may be required. Community Health Initiative Napa County Community Health Initiative Napa County seeks to: improve the health of residents in Napa County, California by improving access to health care services through education, advocacy and funding. The organization's purpose shall be achieved through educating residents as to the options for health care coverage for children, assisting with the enrollment process for available programs, implementing processes and services which streamline eligibility procedures and the enrollment process, and taking other steps necessary to help provide access to quality health care coverage for residents in Napa County.
