Supported Living Personal Assistant/ Life Coach RC Elite Services LLC North Highlands, CA Job Details Part-time $20 - $21 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications Teamwork Assisting with ADLs Driver's License Direct support Cleaning Full Job Description Fun, outgoing 44 year old man with down syndrome, diabetes and physical support needs making his way through life is looking to hire a part time male support person with a flexible schedule as a Life Coach to support him in making meaningful contributions to his community as well as build skills in living independently. The ideal candidate is someone who likes talking about WWE and monster trucks and going to church. A person who cares about other people and likes to build relationships. Someone who has a good sense of humor and can take a joke but also get down to business when needed. What you'll do: Provide day to day support both in the home and community, focusing on home and community support and skill/knowledge development in overall health, fitness, wellness and independent living. Cultivate meaningful relationships/ opportunities in the individual's community Provide needed support in the community and at home Engage in networking and relationship building in the community Focus on building and maintaining a schedule of daily living tasks in the home Support skill development in cooking, cleaning, grooming, organization and health What we're looking for: A positive and open approach to life. Flexible and easy going while also able to hold a line of accountability Patience and willingness to learn different communication styles. Ability to communicate and work within a team. Creativity and flexibility, comfort in thinking on your feet. Ability to be proactive and plan ahead in order to reach desired outcomes and goals. Ability to develop and implement a variable, individualized schedule based on the needs and desires of the individual. Ability to learn and operationalize person-centered support strategies and instructional techniques.
