Full Job Description Overview:
The Surgery Support Specialist assists the Director of Perioperative Services in the operational management in cost containment within the fiscal budget. In addition, this position assists the Director of Perioperative Services in the provision of timely and appropriate in the most cost-effective manner. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of San Gabriel Valley Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support San Gabriel Valley Medical Center's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
assists in monitoring consignment maintain availability of specialty supplies required for surgery coordination of daily surgery charges maintain statistical reports, all surgery logs and maintaining CDM as required by the
Director of Perioperative Services Qualifications:
Education/Training/Experience High School graduate or equivalent Previous Perioperative services support experience preferred Basic knowledge of medical terminology, purchasing procedures, surgery charge functions, budget development/monitoring and policy & procedure development Excellent telephone communication skills required Advance computer skills
