This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled administrative professional who enjoys variety, takes initiative, exercises sound judgement, and can confidently manage multiple priorities and deadlines. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication and customer service skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 while providing high level support that may include preparing correspondence and reports, coordinating meetings and events, maintaining records, processing documents, supporting procurements, contract administration and special projects. The Position:
The Administrative Assistant provides a variety of administrative and office support services to employees and departments throughout the District. Responsibilities may include serving as a primary point of contact for internal and external customers; preparing and proofreading correspondence, reports, agendas, minutes and other documents; maintaining electronic records and confidential files; coordinating meetings, appointments, travel and special events; processing purchase orders, invoices and other administrative documents; and assisting with contracts, purchasing and special projects. The position requires strong organizational, communication and customer service skills, attention to detail, proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. Knowledge, Skills, Training, Experience & Licensing:
Training/Experience Required:
Depending on area of assignment, High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) or Associate's Degree in business, accounting, finance, public administration, human resources, communications or other related field; AND Four years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
Licensing Requirements:
