Job Description
Genio, Habitat Learn, Peer Note-taking, Accessible Furniture, Captioning/Interpreting Services, and Alternate Format:
Flex Plan Manage the primary Flex Plan email account and associated systems (AIM, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Qualtrics). Track requests for plans, notify faculty, and ensure timely completion of requests. Serve as the first point of contact for faculty, students, and staff, and collaborate with faculty to draft, review, and finalize course-specific Flex Plans. Advise on language and evaluate reasonable flexibility, including fundamental alteration reviews. Note-Taking Manage the primary Note-taking email account and associated systems (AIM, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Qualtrics). Track requests for note-taking, recruitment of peer note-takers through class rosters, and ensure timely completion of requests. Manage software licenses (Genio, Habitat Learn) and provide consultations for effective use. Organize incentive processes and submit invoices for volunteer note-takers. Problem-solve alternative note-taking options when requests cannot be filled through standard processes. Accessible Furniture Manage the primary Accessible Furniture email account and associated systems (AIM, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Qualtrics). Track requests for furniture and ensure the timely completion of requests. Coordinate with the Office of the Registrar, Facilities Management, Building Proctors, students, and faculty to ensure timely placement. Maintain detailed inventories of the DS storage unit and classroom spaces and manage surplus furniture and equipment by identifying items for reuse, storage, or disposal. Captioning and Interpretation Services Manage the primary Captioning/Interpretation Services email account and associated systems (AIM, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Qualtrics). Track requests for captioning, interpreting, and related assistive technologies, and ensure timely completion of requests. Coordinate with the Digital Accessibility Office, students, and faculty to ensure timely service delivery. Maintain equipment inventories (FM systems, microphones, assistive technology) and oversee equipment loans. Alternate Format Serve as backup support for the Alternate Format Coordinator, assisting with consultations and processing student requests as needed. Partner with campus partners (e.g., faculty, Digital Accessibility Office, University Libraries, Student Testing Center) to coordinate conversion of academic materials into accessible formats. Data Collection and Assessment Track and analyze key data to support strategic planning and operational improvements. Produce monthly and semester reports for the DS/STC Leadership Team. Maintain accurate records of requests, service delivery, and utilization. Other Duties as Assigned Manage fiscal operations, including budget tracking, projections, and vendor relationships. Crosstrain staff to assist with Accommodation Support as needed. Serve as a liaison with campus partners (Digital Accessibility Office, University Libraries, Office of the Registrar, Facilities Management, Building Proctors, CU Bookstore, Business Services, etc.). Represent Disability Services on campus-wide committees and working groups. Support accommodation processes during peak times (e.g., taking Information Sessions, Temporary Medical Condition Meetings and Access Meetings, processing Accommodation Reviews, Front Office coverage, exam proctoring at the Student Testing Center, etc.). What You Should Know This is a fully in-person position expected to work Monday - Friday during regular business hours. What We Can Offer The salary for this position is $54,000. What We Require Bachelor's degree in education, special education, psychology, rehabilitation, counseling, business management, education administration, information technology, public administration, or a closely related field. 1 year of professional experience working with adolescents and/or adults with disabilities in an educational or comparable institutional setting. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may substitute. What You Will Need Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse student, faculty, and staff populations. Exceptional customer service orientation with commitment to inclusion and equity. High level of organization, dependability, autonomy, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Qualtrics. Knowledge of confidentiality standards and handling sensitive information in higher education. Experience with electronic medical records or accommodation management systems. Ability to cross-train staff and delegate responsibilities. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills; ability to de-escalate and manage complex situations. What We Would Like You to Have Master's degree in education, special education, psychology, rehabilitation, counseling or closely related fields is preferred. 2+ years of professional experience working with adolescents and/or adults with disabilities in an educational or comparable institutional setting.
