Job Description

Summit County Government is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide vital, high-level support to the County Manager, Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), and the County Attorney's Office. In this multi-faceted team-based role, you will manage complex administrative work, handle official public records, coordinate high-profile public meetings, and serve as a key point of contact for county departments, partner agencies, and the public.
EXECUTIVE AND MEETING SUPPORT
Coordinates BOCC and other public meetings, including agendas, electronic packets, approvals, notices, presenter communications, room and virtual meeting setup, recordings, minutes, and related logistics. Routes documents for signature and recordation and maintains meeting materials, resolutions, ordinances, minutes, indexes, and Deputy Clerk files in accordance with records-retention requirements.
COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
Coordinates assessment appeals, hearings, arbitrations, taxpayer notifications, decision letters, and property-tax abatements with the Assessor's Office, County Attorney's Office, taxpayers, arbitrators, and state agencies. Supports the Executive Administrative Manager with legal preparation and related duties.
BOCC, COUNTY MANAGER'S OFFICE, AND ATTORNEY'S OFFICE DUTIES
Provides administrative support to the County Manager, Deputy County Managers, County Attorneys, and Commissioners, including scheduling, meeting-room reservations, travel, projects, events, and daily troubleshooting. Delivers customer service to callers and visitors and processes contracts, invoices, purchasing-card receipts, data entry, approvals, and workflow routing in the ERP system. Oversees registration and travel arrangements for conferences and training.
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
Supports website updates, meeting-recording, video-streaming, accessibility, and other countywide technology initiatives. Maintains and updates procedures at the direction of the Executive Administrative Manager. Coordinates mail, water-augmentation procedures, required meetings and other administrative duties as assigned.
Knowledge of:
Office Management procedures and systems including but not limited to: MS Office, Sharepoint, One Drive, Adobe, Trello, ICCES (Integrated Colorado Courts E-Filing System); Tyler Munis or other similar ERP programs; Enterprise Management Software, website CMS Record-keeping processes and accepted practices for document retention.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND FORMAL TRAINING
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Executive Administration, or a related field; or 3+ years of office administration experience (an equivalent combination of education and government policy experience will be considered).
