An Administrative Clerk or Coordinator performs administrative work in an office. Coordinates work to support an office team. Works in a wide variety of office settings, such as a company or business, or a government office or school. Manages paper and electronic files, uses office equipment including computers, responds to phone calls and emails. May manage office staff expenses, supplies or schedules.
Temporary Clerk needed for employment, to photocopy, scan, prepare paperwork, file folders, & mailings, and perform data entry for the County Board of Equalization Hearings. Generally, the hiring rate is $19 per hour. Qualifications, education and experience as it relates to the position will be taken into consideration when determining hiring salary. Returning employees may receive a higher compensation. Schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, 40 hrs./wk., from mid-August 2026, to approximately late October 2026, with possible overtime. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Requires a high school diploma or GED. Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge of general clerical/office procedures. Strong customer service skills required. Computer experience is required. Must be able to perform detail-oriented work with accuracy and attention to detail efficiently. Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment with daily public interaction.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS
The ability to successfully complete pre-employment screening including but not limited to: reference checks, criminal background (which may include fingerprinting through a national database), degree verification, motor vehicle record check and drug screen is required.
