The Building & Office Coordinator is responsible for being the first point of contact for those utilizing our church building. Our building is heavily utilized; being a church, office building, event venue, community center, and so much more. The Building & Office Coordinator will answer the phone and door, respond to emails, and act as a liaison between the church and community, presenting a hospitable and welcoming office and place that strives to respond to needs before saying "no." The Building & Office Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the church calendar, creating bulletins, keeping track of accounts receivable and payable, coordinating with church staff to ensure appropriate coverage of building responsibilities, as well as other duties as assigned.Requirements:
This position will require proficiency in computer systems, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel), and graphic design programs. Additionally, this position requires the ability to support First Baptist Church of Denver's values and the ability to warmly, calmly, and effectively deal with a wide variety of people. This position will at times additionally require lifting and moving tables and chairs for events, when schedule and coverage requires it.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Estimated percent of effort 50% Respond to phone, email, and walk-up requests during normal business hours. 25% Serve as primary liaison for building partners and guests, ensuring a clean, safe, welcoming, and hospitable space. 10% Develop and coordinate weekly worship resources in partnership with the Senior Pastor or designate; i.e., weekly worship bulletins, livestream, etc. 10% Manage the church calendar, including event bookings, ensuring paperwork, payments, and all needs for groups using our space is met. 5% Steward financial and physical resources; i.e. ensuring accounts payable/receivable are processed on time, payments for events are made, agreements with building partners are up to date, and coordinating inspections/licenses, etc.Pay:
