Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and service-oriented Office Associate for a temp-to-hire opportunity in West Hartford, CT. This role supports daily mailroom, shipping and receiving, office services, and general administrative functions within a professional office environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with customer service, mail services or office support experience. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage shipping, receiving, mailroom, and office services functions.
  • Sort incoming mail by recipient, prepare digital mail for scanning, and route items into the appropriate department queue.
  • Prepare and process outbound domestic and international shipments using FedEx shipping management systems.
  • Sort parcels for shipping and receiving while maintaining an organized mailroom area.
  • Restock office supplies, submit weekly inventory sheets, and help replenish materials as needed.
  • Answer phone calls, handle switchboard responsibilities, direct calls to the appropriate departments, and provide general clerical support. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay:
    $17.00 to $17.50 per hour.
  • Job Type:
    Temp-to-hire.
  • Schedule:
    Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
  • Location:
    West Hartford, CT. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior mail services experience in an office environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and callers.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a team-oriented and service-focused approach.
  • Professional demeanor, appearance, and attitude.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Assertive, resourceful, motivated, and willing to ask questions and take initiative.
