Job Description

The Clerical Associate will provide administrative support to case management teams by assisting with confirming medical provider balances and requesting medical records. At Carter Mario, we demonstrate the core values of the firm; be a champion for others, be innovative, and be accountable.
Responsibilities:
Daily phone contact with client medical providers. Daily contact with case management staff. Accurately confirm & document all case-related medical charges, payments/adjustments, and balances. Request medical records. Utilize the case management software for timely data entry. Timely response to attorneys and case management team. Follow-up on outstanding requests, including emails and phone calls. Follow-up on outstanding requests when requested by attorneys and case managers. Assist with updating provider contact information. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of clerical experience in a legal, medical, or other professional services environment is preferred. Experience using a multi-line phone system. Exceptional phone etiquette. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with numbers. Attention to detail. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Ability to work individually and as a team contributor. Medical and/or legal terminology knowledge beneficial. Familiarity with medical billing/coding beneficial. Organized, reliable work ethic. Proficient typing skills to navigate various software programs, phone system, internet, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Adobe. Salary Description $18.50 - $21.00 per hour, based on experience.
