Job Description

The Town of Wethersfield is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Clerk for the Planning and Engineering Department. This position will provide essential administrative support to the Town Planner and Town Engineer. Key responsibilities include facilitating departmental operations through document preparation and correspondence management, while delivering exceptional customer service to ensure efficient workflows.
Examples of Specific Duties:
Performs general receptionist duties. Relieves staff of office detail work. Plans work according to established office procedures. Types letters, reports, and/or forms from prepared material or rough copy. May compose letters or reports for review and signature by the supervisor. Retrieves information from files and prepares information for supervisors or the public. Operates office equipment such as calculators, scanners, copiers, and computer software systems. Provides information and referral services to the public regarding department and/or Town programs and procedures. Enter and retrieve information through a computer. Performs related work as required.
Qualifications:
An Associate's degree and two (2) years of clerical or secretarial experience in a general office setting or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
