Job Description

Join the University Orthopedic Care Team as a Front Desk Assistant! Are you detail-oriented, passionate about patient care, and looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic organization? We are seeking a dedicated Front Desk Assistant to join our team and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of our practice. About the
Role:
The Front Desk Assistant will perform general clerical duties in support of patient services as directed by the Office Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Answering the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette. Scan and enter all information for a patient into the EMR system, photocopying, faxing, or assisting in the completion of forms. Update all new or changing patient information in EMR system. I.E; verify patient current address, phone number. Review all new patient information for accuracy and completion. Confirm patient appointments and reschedule any appointments as needed. Greet all patients and visitors, in person or over the telephone. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized area. Maintain a high level of ethical conduct regarding HIPPA, patient confidentiality and professional stature. Collect EMR records such as laboratory reports and images as requested by the Physician. Able to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with all clinical and administrative staff.

Strong Communication Skills:
Patient and/or guest interaction is a major part of this role, so you have solid verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
Comprehensive Knowledge:
You understand medical and orthopedic terminology.
Regulation Proficiency:
You abide by HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Experience:
