In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various clerical and administrative tasks. Your expertise in office management and familiarity with healthcare coding systems will be essential in ensuring smooth operations within our facility. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing assistance as needed to ensure a positive experience. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including verifying insurance information and collecting necessary documentation. Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate patient records. Utilize coding systems such as ICD-10 for accurate billing and record-keeping. Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating with medical staff to optimize patient flow. Maintain a clean and organized front office environment to enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate with team members to address any patient inquiries or concerns promptly. Requirements Previous experience in an office management or clerical role, preferably within a hospital or healthcare setting. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Athenahealth is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure. Knowledge of medical coding practices is an asset but not mandatory; training will be provided.
