Public Guardian Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answers multiple telephone calls and relays messages to appropriate persons. This office has a very high call volume
  • Prepares correspondence and maintain files on the wards, including those related to Medicaid eligibility and services
  • Composing and typing routine correspondence
  • Reading and routing incoming mail to the appropriate office staff Education and/or
Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and one year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Skills:
  • Excellent customer services skills and be able to manage high call volumes
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form
  • Ability to actively listen to others and negotiate solutions to problems
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
Additional Requirements:
  • Permanent US resident
  • 18 years or older
  • Satisfactory financial credit standing- Applicants MUST be in good credit standing and not have any of the following: Bankruptcies, Collections, multiple and consistent late payments.
  • Pass a Level II background check
