Job Description

The Housing Department provides safe and sustainable housing opportunities that preserves and expand the communities of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The Housing Department provide homeownership opportunities, emergency home repairs and rental housing for Tribal Members through a variety of programs. The goal is to develop quality sustainable housing development in all Tribal Communities, which fosters a full and rich residential quality of life.

//tcd.semtribe.com/ Note this position is based on the Brighton Reservation located at 650 East Harney Pond Rd., Okeechobee, FL 34974 . Occasionally you may need to visit other Reservations in Florida (Hollywood, Clewiston, Immokalee, etc). The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with flexibility to be on call during emergencies such as natural disasters. Position Summary The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing routine clerical support to the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Housing Department, including, but not limited to answering telephones, greeting clients and visitors, scheduling appointments, composing and typing a variety of standard documents and correspondence, distributing incoming and outgoing correspondence, organizing office space for meetings, processing forms, ordering supplies and maintaining records. The individual ensures the best customer service through the Housing Services Office, including accurate communication, timely follow-through and quality of services.
Qualifications / Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Associate's degree is preferred or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License required. Demonstrate ability to work with diverse groups. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Software. Ability to travel to all Seminole Tribe of Florida Reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Note:

The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with flexibility to be on call during emergencies such as hurricanes.
