Job Description
Permitting Coordinator Dave Schmitt Engineering - Full-Time (In Office) 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM The Permitting Coordinator position is responsible for supporting project teams, ensuring compliance with Dave Schmitt Engineering processes, obtaining and processing permits, and assisting with general office needs. Essential Job Functions Log and track submittals, and monitor the status of outstanding items and permits Maintain communication with various municipalities Assist with office administrative duties and project-specific needs Draft and submit permit applications Assist with inputting data into systems Submit drawings for the permit process Prepare meeting agendas Follow up with clients regarding applications Coordinate all permits with clients, agencies, and internal teams Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics 2-5 years of experience in a coordinator or administrative support role Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills at all levels Strong ability to multitask and stay organized Ability to work in a schedule-driven environment Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook); additional software knowledge preferred Skilled in office equipment (copier, scanner, etc.) and strong computer skills Ability to work under deadline pressure and manage multiple assignments simultaneously Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively Experience with the permitting process Knowledge and/or experience in engineering services preferred Positive, team-oriented attitude Schedule This is a full-time, in-office position. Standard working hours are 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM ; however, some days may require staying later to meet submittal deadlines and project needs.
