The position of Interviewing Clerk OPS is a paraprofessional position assigned to the Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency with primary responsibility for reviewing applications to collect demographic information and/or provide information and referral services. This position is ideal for someone who has excellent computer/data entry skills, a high degree of organizational skills and enjoys the challenge of tight deadlines.Location:
Palm Beach. Applicants interested in working in counties/cities other than listed will need to apply for positions advertised for those specific areas on the PeopleFirst System.Annual Salary:
$34,760.00 annually. Internal salary appointments are determined according to DCF Salary policy.Typical duties:
Determines eligibility for expedited food assistance services;- Explains eligibility to applicants and recipients applying/receiving public assistance;
- Enters client data into database based on intake of caller information;
- Maintains necessary files and records;
- Completes general clerical duties including using computer to input data of clients who are applying for public assistance benefits;
- Answers phones;
- Uses photocopy machine, scanner and other office equipment;
- Conducts application registration;
- Schedules appointments; Performs intake interviews; Conducts statewide clearance and reconciles any discrepancies on all household members; Maintain office email accounts and serves as clerical backup for units.
