Senior Friendship Centers, Inc. is Looking for a
Dynamic:
Advancement Services Assistant For more than 50 years, Senior Friendship Centers has been making a difference in the lives of seniors across Southwest Florida and we're growing! We are seeking a highly organized, detail-driven, and mission-focused Advancement Services Assistant to join our Advancement team. The Advancement Services Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our fundraising efforts by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of donor data, gift processing, and reporting. This position works closely with the Advancement and Fiscal teams to maintain the Raiser's Edge database, process gifts, generate reports, and support fundraising operations that directly impact our ability to serve older adults in our community. Essential Functions:
Operational Gift processing: including entering gifts, making deposits, running reports associated with deposits, and other duties as assigned.
Database clean-up:
under the supervision of the Advancement Services Manager, updates the database as directed.
Reports:
generate customized reports for Advancement Officers, as requested.
Procedure manual:
develop and update a manual of procedures for database management, data entry, and gift processing. Serve as backup to the Advancement Services Manager, acting as a liaison to assist the Fiscal department with monthly reconciliation.
Fiscal department:
work with the fiscal department as needed to ensure a timely and accurate recording of financial transactions and the submission of required financial reports as directed by the Lead Financial Analyst. Ensuring best practices in gift processing and data management. Staying current with the administration and maintenance of the database. Training new volunteers and existing team members to use Raiser's Edge and ensure correct procedures are followed for database entry. Coordinating information from multiple sources. Train new and existing staff members to use Raiser's Edge accurately and effectively. Overseeing alumni, legacy, and donor prospect data Assist with Advancement team events and across SFC as needed. Some events may require evening and weekend availability. Provide tech support for events such as check-in, checkout, tasks etc. Ensure accurate transfer of records among different database systems (Raiser's Edge and NXT, Constant Contact, Eventbrite, Volgistics, GiveSmart, My Senior Center, etc.).
Organizational:
Attend staff meetings, training, and seminars as required. Participate in fundraising and outreach activities to promote the organization's mission. Must comply with all Senior Friendship Centers personnel policies. Must protect the safety and health of staff, volunteers, participants, and others by observing and following the organization's safety and incident policies

Competencies:
Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to learn, maintain and troubleshoot database and data entry functions. Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced office and manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy. Understanding of donor/development relationship; ability to communicate with Board and donors; ability to work within a team. Effective organizational skills. Strong communication skills are a must, including the ability to interact professionally with staff, leadership, community stakeholders, and donors. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial and donor information.
Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications:
Associate's Degree, or commensurate professional experience to provide the requisite knowledge, skills, and ability to satisfactorily perform in this position. Proficiency in Raiser's Edge NXT a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods standing, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Must be able to access various departments of a given location. May require occasional setup and breakdown of event materials and equipment.
Travel:
Driving to other Senior Friendship Centers locations and/or events may be required. A valid driver's license and proof of insurance are required for all work-related travel.
Additional eligibility requirements:
Satisfactory clearance of a fingerprint-based level II background screening and pre-employment substance abuse testing is required. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
