We are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community. What You'll Do This position provides information, orientation, and support to students and customers; recruits prospective students; and assists with career, college, training, financial aid, and workforce resources. Coordinates assessments, referrals, job searches, resumes, internships, advising, and other student services while maintaining program information and participating in related meetings and outreach activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing and delivering informational presentations as requested. Training and providing work direction to volunteers and student assistants. Providing information via email to assist students and customers with securing labor market and training information, along with Wakulla Center or College information. Maintaining and printing upcoming training and program initiatives. Providing orientation to all Wakulla Center customers, either one-on-one or in a group setting as needed. Recruiting prospective students through direct communication with those accessing services at the Wakulla Center by phone, email, or in person. Providing information and engaging clients to determine appropriate needs, partner programs, and other agencies for supportive services available in the local area. Making referrals to these services as necessary. Providing career and college entrance information and assistance to students, teachers, parents, and counselors. Attending meetings regarding career trends, college entrance, financial aid, grant initiatives, etc. Arranging and scheduling assessments as required. Providing assistance to customers who are in need of additional program services, including assistance with resume preparation, job search assistance, internships, financial aid, advising, testing, etc. Who We're Looking For We're seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Graduation from a standard high school or equivalency Three (3) years of progressively responsible secretarial and/or clerical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The bachelor's degree may substitute for three years of experience or an associate's degree may substitute for two years of experience.
