  • Job Summary:
  • Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) company providing reliable transportation services to patients in Broward and Palm Beach counties. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused
  • Administrative Assistant / Dispatcher
  • to join our team. This role is critical to our daily operations, ensuring smooth scheduling, efficient dispatching, and excellent customer service.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Professionally answer and manage incoming calls from patients, medical facilities, and drivers
  • Book, schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel transportation appointments
  • Dispatch drivers in real-time, monitor active trips, and handle route changes or emergencies
  • Manage driver schedules, availability, time-off requests, and shift coverage
  • Collect payments, co-pays, and process invoices accurately and timely
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, patient information, and driver activity in our dispatch system
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies at all times
  • Generate daily/weekly reports and assist with general administrative tasks
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve issues quickly
  • Requirements & Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in dispatch, scheduling, administrative support, or customer service (NEMT, transportation, logistics, or medical office experience is strongly preferred)
  • Excellent phone etiquette and strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace, and scheduling/dispatch software
  • Strong knowledge of South Florida geography (Broward and Palm Beach counties)
  • (English/Spanish or English/Creole) is highly preferred
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
  • Pass a background check and drug screening
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
