Position:
Administrative Assistant Reports to:
Program Manager FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt Function:
To provide clerical and administrative support as assigned by the Program Manager.
Know How:
The position requires a high school diploma/GED and one (1) year of responsible clerical skills. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are required. The position requires the ability to work without direct supervision, the ability to type 70 wpm, good word processing and computer skills, good communication and writing skills, management of agency databases and knowledge of general office procedures.
Principal Activities:
Performs simple and complex clerical duties including word processing, typing, filing and other administrative support functions. Responsible for inputting training data and documents into storage system. Maintain a comprehensive filing system. Assists in preparing routine and special reports. Assists in management of agency database. Assists in maintaining data for the Program Manager and compiling reports. Manages communications and correspondence for the Program Manager. Provides administrative assistance/support to the Program Manager. Answers telephone in a professional manner, provides or directs information to appropriate staff. Effect on

Language skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribe style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
