  • Be part of making an impact in public health alongside dedicated people just like you As a Hourly Clerical Worker within the Georgia Department of Public Health , you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

  • (WIC Dept.
  • Ellijay, GA (This is an hourly position that work up to 29 hours per week max) Under direct supervision, performs a variety of general clerical / administrative support functions or a few specialized or essential clerical functions in support of a unit or office and related personnel.
May enter data and/or process documents and records. The work includes operating standard office equipment. Work is performed under the close supervision of clerical or administrative supervisor. Greets clients Performs intake tasks Performs data entry into electronic systems Provides WIC benefits to participants Schedule appointments Provides excellent customer service Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED AND the ability to perform basic office functions and computer related duties
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual
  • English/Spanish Experience working with the WIC program assisting clients Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.
CBH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. All positions require criminal history record check. Required education credentials, license, certification and/or registration must be submitted prior to employment in the position. Some positions require pre-employment drug testing in which the applicant who is offered the position will be required to successfully complete.
