Job Description

PLS Claims, an independent insurance adjusting company, is seeking a dependable and organized Office Clerk to provide administrative and clerical support for our office. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, professional, comfortable working with computer systems, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy office environment. The Office Clerk will assist with document processing, data entry, filing, correspondence, incoming calls, office organization, and general administrative support. Responsibilities Answer and direct incoming telephone calls in a professional manner. Enter and update information in company databases and claim management systems. Scan, upload, organize, and maintain electronic and paper documents. Prepare letters, emails, reports, and other business correspondence. Review documents for completeness and accuracy. Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries. Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems. Assist with invoice processing, data entry, and basic accounting-related tasks. Order and maintain office supplies. Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating office activities. Support management and other departments with administrative projects. Protect confidential employee, client, claim, and company information. Perform other general office duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous clerical, receptionist, administrative, or office experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Accurate keyboarding and data-entry skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional telephone and customer-service skills. Ability to follow established procedures and pay close attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Dependable attendance and a professional demeanor. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Experience in an insurance, claims, accounting, legal, or other professional office environment is a plus but is not required.
