Job Description

The Valdosta Daily Times , part of Carpenter Media Group, is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Circulation Clerk to support our South Georgia newspaper group, including the Valdosta Daily Times, Moultrie Observer, Tifton Gazette, and Thomasville Times-Enterprise . This is a full-time position based in our Valdosta office. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys helping customers while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced office. Responsibilities Answer incoming circulation phone calls for all four newspapers. Process new subscriptions, vacation stops, restarts, address changes, and cancellations using our circulation software. Accept and post customer payments accurately. Assist subscribers with billing questions and delivery concerns. Maintain accurate customer records and subscription information. Work closely with our circulation and distribution teams to resolve customer issues. Provide administrative support for the circulation department. Cross-train as a backup for our bookkeeper, assisting with basic accounting functions as needed. Cross-train as a backup for our Classified/Legal Advertising representative. Perform other administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize work efficiently. Comfortable learning and using computer software and Microsoft Office applications. Basic bookkeeping or accounting experience is a plus. Previous office, customer service, newspaper, or administrative experience preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial transactions accurately. Positive attitude and willingness to learn new responsibilities. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who enjoys helping people, works well with a team, and takes pride in accuracy.
