High school diploma or equivalent diploma Experience with and knowledge of computers Available to work holidays and weekends as work demands Good physical health condition and pass a physical examination
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following : Control and monitor the main fire alarm system. Respond to any internal or external emergency by initiating and completing facility emergency procedures. Control the door lock system for the entire building, including the emergency entrance for transportation services. Monitor the main oxygen alarm system and communicate with maintenance as needed. Control the PA system. Control the main radio communication system. Monitor and control the main nurse call system as assigned (shift-specific). Assist families, residents, and visitors requesting information. Answer and distribute phone calls from the main switchboard. Perform clerical duties as assigned. Perform business office duties as assigned, such as receipting, handling mail, etc. Communicate with and assist the resident services assistant as needed. Communicate with staff regarding day-to-day operations. Assist with daily work schedules as directed by the ADON. Appropriately complete required documentation including schedules, call-in slips, supplemental nourishment, and others determined by the supervisor. Ensure that residents' rights are honored, including but not limited to personal choices, privacy, and confidentiality. Promptly report all incidents involving residents, staff, families, and visitors to the Director of Nursing or the RN in charge. Attend in-service education classes as required and obtain a required number of hours per year. Assist Nurses with ordering, monitoring, and stocking supplies. Verify the resident's MD appointments daily. Assist with transportation for residents' MD appointments and verify the business day before by following up with family members or MD offices. Fill out the daily census. The associate is authorized to have very limited access to resident health information as needed to provide treatment, for billing purposes, or for healthcare operations.
