Job Description

The Loan Secretary will perform a variety of clerical and technical duties to assist lenders and will handle both routine and complex customer inquiries while maintaining favorable customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares loan documentation, extensions, and renewals of loans and closings. Notes and verifies significant information as required by Bank policy and procedure. Ensures that Bank procedures are followed at all times. Exercises discretion, judgement, and initiative regarding transaction problems and procedures. Effectively identifies customers' financial needs and cross sells the Banks' products and services. Receives payments from customers. Provides prompt, efficient and accurate service in the processing of transactions. Maintain BIS tickler systems as directed. Maintains credit files in a neat and orderly manner. Prepares and distributes necessary reports. Stays up to date on all federal and state regulations. Represents the Bank in a courteous and professional manner. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Some prior loan administration or customer service experience is preferred.
