Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Office Clerk at a historic cemetery. Monday- Friday 20 hours a week, some Saturdays as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the company's website, Facebook and Twitter
- Perform general clerical duties, ie: answering phones and emails, recording burials, handling mail, working at a computer using Excel, Word, Access & Publisher, photocopying, scanning, and filing documents
- Maintain and update records and databases
- Assist with data entry tasks in Excel, Word, Access
- Quickboos 2024 Account Payable, Receivable, invoicing and bank reconciliations
- Greet visitors and provide them the necessary information with compassion and understanding
- Assist with office management tasks, such as selling lots, markers, foundations, vases, final inscriptions and so on
- Be present at funerals to ensure everything goes smoothly
- Pass a background check
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in office administration is a plus
- Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and proofreading
- Experience with QuickBooks is preferred Starting Wage is $15.
