Des Moines, IA (Polk County Office, In Person)

About the Role We are hiring a full-time Service Coordinator for our Polk County Community Program. This is a leadership position reporting directly to the Program Director. In this vital role, you will use your discretion and good judgment to lead a team of staff, ensuring that services align with our mission and meet applicable regulatory standards.
What You Will Achieve Customer Empowerment:
Coordinate and approve all admissions, conduct assessments, and lead the service planning process based on individual customer desires and goals.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, coach, and develop team leaders and support staff, including interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and terminating employees as needed.
Program Compliance:
Ensure comprehensive customer records comply with DIA, DHS, CARF, and other relevant standards.
Safety & Support:
Coordinate procedures to provide for the health and safety of customers and participate in an on-call rotation to respond to service needs in a timely manner.
Strategic Growth:
Work with administration to implement service improvements, achieve financial objectives, and market Optimae services. Qualifications We focus on your skills and abilities, not just credentials.
Experience & Education:
A high school diploma or GED is required. Experience in human services planning, coordination, or administration is necessary.
We encourage diverse experience:
A Bachelor's degree is preferred (requires 1 year of experience); an Associate's degree in a human services field (requires 2 years of experience); a high school diploma/GED (requires 3 years of experience).
Required Skills:
Basic computer proficiency and the ability to foster teamwork and proactive problem-solving.
Requirements:
