Position Overview
The School Business Officer serves as a trusted advisor to the Superintendent and Board of Education while overseeing the district's financial operations and supporting strategic decision making.
This individual plays an essential leadership role in ensuring responsible fiscal management while helping create a positive, people-first culture throughout the district.
Responsibilities include leadership in:
Budget development and long-range financial planning
Accounting and financial reporting
Cash management and investments
Payroll oversight
Human Resources support
Employee benefits administration
Board of Education support and Board Secretary responsibilities
State and federal reporting
Risk management and insurance
Purchasing and bidding processes
Contract administration
Policy implementation
Collaboration with district leadership on strategic initiatives
